SPRM perlu terus siasat kes rasuah Ketua Menteri Sarawak
Pemuda PAS Sarawak mengucapkan syabas dan tahniah kepada Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) atas tindakan untuk memulakan siasatan rasuah terhadap Ketua Menteri Sarawak, Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud. Ini merupakan tindakan yang tepat dilakukan oleh SPRM. Pemuda PAS Sarawak berharap agar pihak SPRM dapat menjalankan siasatan penuh seperti mana yang dilakukan terhadap bekas Menteri Besar Selangor , Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo. Pemuda PAS Sarawak turut meminta agar SPRM tidak akan mudah tunduk kepada tekanan-tekanan politik parti pemerintah dalam menjalankan proses siasatan yang lengkap dan telus.
Dalam perkembangan yang sama, Pemuda PAS Sarawak bersimpati dengan Ketua Pemuda PBB YB Datuk Hj Fadhillah Yusof yang terus mendapat tekanan daripada kepimpinan Pemuda PBB negeri yang lain dalam usaha memberi sokongan kepada Ketua Menteri dalam proses siasatan rasuah oleh SPRM ini. Pemuda PAS Sarawak juga ingin mengucapkan syabas kepada YB Datuk Hj Fadhillah atas tindakan beliau yang tidak tergesa-gesa dalam menyatakan sokongan membuta-tuli terhadap Ketua Menteri dalam perkara ini. Ini seolah-olah menunjukkan bahawa kemungkinan besar ada kebenaran terhadap laporan rasuah yang diketengahkan sebelum ini.
Pemuda PAS Sarawak berharap dengan perkembangan ini akan memberi gambaran jelas kepada seluruh rakyat Sarawak bahawa telah banyak hasil kekayaan negeri yang disalahgunakan oleh Ketua Menteri Sarawak. Kekayaan negeri Sarawak seharusnya kembali kepada rakyat negeri Sarawak dengan pembinaan kemudahan-kemudahan asas yang terbaik untuk rakyat.
MACC must continue with Sarawak CM’s corruption cases
Sarawak PAS Youth congratulates the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for initiating a full investigation on the alleged corruption cases believed to be committed by the Sarawak Chief Minister, Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud. This commendable action by the MACC is fully supported by Sarawak PAS Youth and we highly hope that the investigation process will be carried-out as thoroughly as what has been seen in the Ex-Selangor Mentri Besar, Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo’s case. Sarawak PAS Youth calls for MACC to be steadfast and not easily influenced by unwarranted political pressures from the ruling party in deliberating a complete and transparent investigation.
In light of this development, Sarawak PAS Youth fully sympathizes with PBB Youth Chief. Datuk Hj Fadhillah Yusof, who has been in constant pressure by other PBB Youth leaders to show an open support towards the Chief Minister who is currently under probe by the MACC. We would like to take this opportunity to also congratulate YB Fadhillah for not being hasty pertaining to this issue. This in a way, shows that there might be some truth in the alleged corruption cases as widely reported by various groups within the Sarawak civil society.
Sarawak PAS Youth hopes that this positive development will be able to give a clearer picture to the Sarawak people that the state’s wealth has been irresponsibly squandered by their own Chief Minister. This vast amount of wealth and richness should have been returned to the rightful hands of Sarawakians particularly in the form of better public amenities and basic infrastructures for the enjoyment of the rakyat.
